Carnival to begin cruise service to Cuba in May

(MIAMI) — Cuba has granted approval for Carnival Corp. to begin cruise ship travel to Cuba starting on May 1, The New York Times reported. Carnival will operate the 704-passenger M/V Adonia to the country through its newest brand Fathom on seven-day itineraries departing from the Port of Miami, with stops in Havana, Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba. It is the first time in over 50 years that a cruise ship has been approved to sail from the United States to Cuba.
