Cargo ship rams speedboat in Hudson River; 4 rescued from water

(NEW YORK) — A man on a sailboat is being credited with rescuing four people from the Hudson River after a cargo ship allegedly rammed their speedboat, the New York Daily News reported. The Coast Guard is investigating witness reports that an approximately 250-foot black ship with no lights ran over the 42-foot speedboat at about 0100 hours near New York’s Pier 40. The witnesses said the cargo ship fled the scene.
