Car carrier runs aground in Brunswick River

(BRUNSWICK, Ga.) — An automobile transport ship ran aground in the Brunswick River, blocking deep-draft traffic for 22 hours, the Florida Times-Union newspaper reported. The Centaurus Leader was refloated without any fuel spill or injuries. The Army Corps of Engineers surveyed the channel to ensure that no obstructions were present that could cause a continued hazard to shipping.
