Captain suspended after tour boat hits Baltimore pier

(BALTIMORE) — A tour boat captain has been suspended after the vessel struck and damaged a pier Sunday morning, The Baltimore Sun reported. Spirit of Baltimore was returning from a scheduled cruise with more than 400 aboard when it went hit the dock at Henderson Wharf Marina, resulting in minor injuries to two passengers. A spokesman for Spirit Cruises said the boat was not damaged and that the captain was suspended pending further investigation. The cause of the incident is not known.
