Captain in Staten Island Ferry crash to testify in court (PHOTO)

(BROOKLYN, N.Y.) — The captain in the deadly 2003 Staten Island Ferry crash is scheduled to testify in court today, the Staten Island Advance newspaper reported. It would mark the first time the captain has spoken publicly about the accident, which killed 11 people. He is testifying in a civil court case in which the tugboat company Henry Marine is seeking payment from the city for assisting the vessel when it was in distress.
