Canada joins EPA’s proposal to limit ship emissions along coast

(OTTAWA) — Canada has joined the U.S.’s proposal to reduce air pollution from ships along the North American coastline, the Globe and Mail newspaper of Toronto reported. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the recommendation to the International Maritime Organization this week. The Canadian ports with the most smog from commercial vessels include Vancouver, Halifax and points along the St. Lawrence Seaway.
