Brude Safety as wins several new MES contracts

Norwegian-based Brude Safety as has recently received a contract for Marine Evacuation Systems (MES) for the Torghatten ferries being built at Remontowa. The evacuation systems will be delivered from Q1 2011 until Q2 2013 and are for six vessels, with an optional additional vessel. The Brude MES Chute SRL for evacuation height from 4 – 25 metres has been chosen to be installed on these vessels. Brude’s sister company Brude Service will be responsible for service, with own service stations in Tromsø, Stokmarknes, Ålesund, Bergen and Skien in Norway, further to a world wide network of service stations. 
 
In addition till the above MES orders for Remontowa, Brude has recently made the MES deliveries to Barreras hull 1664 (Østensjø accommodation vessel) as well as to hull 1666 & 1667 (Naviera Armas for 1,500 passengers). 
 
Some more recent orders include the delivery to Germany-based J.J. Sietas for WDR, the Saarema vessels (hull 63, 64 & 65) as well as some MES retrofit contracts, e.g. for shipowner Acciona Trasmediterrane in Spain and for NorCE Offshore in Singapore. 
 
Finally, Brude has been chosen to supply the biggest gas ferry in the world being built at the Fiskerstrand yard in Norway, owned by Fjord 1.
