(WARSAW, Ky.) — A broken lock gate on the Ohio River will probably cause delays to barge traffic for months, the Courier-Journal newspaper of Louisville reported. The gate broke off the Markland Locks and Dam on Sunday. Until it is repaired, tows will need to be split in two in order to use the auxiliary lock and then reassembled afterwards.
