(VANCOUVER, British Columbia) — The province’s tugboat companies are trying to diversify their services in response to a downturn in the timber industry, the newspaper Business In Vancouver reported. Operators are trying to gain business by hauling construction materials and even serving sport fishermen. An official with West Coast Tug & Barge Ltd. said it’s a fight for survival.
