(BRISTOL, R.I.) — Gregory Beers, president of the Bristol Harbor Group Inc. (BHGI), has been named a fellow of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME).
The honor is awarded to SNAME members who have made remarkable contributions to the fields of naval architecture, marine or ocean engineering, or related areas through significant achievements in design, research, production, operation, education or management.
BHGI is a full-service naval architecture, marine engineering and
consulting firm located in Bristol, R.I. BHGI has been in business
for more than 30 years and has produced numerous designs, to which
hundreds of vessels have been built. BHGI specializes in commercial vessel design and consulting and has experience with tugs, barges, aArticulated tug/barge units (ATBs), passenger vessels, workboats, dredges and floating dry docks.
