Bouchard Transportation appoints Glas as vice president of regulatory affairs

(MELVILLE, N.Y.) (Feb. 28) — Bouchard Transportation, America's largest independently owned ocean-going petroleum barge company, has promoted Capt. Robert W. Glas to vice president of regulatory affairs.

Glas will interact with regulatory committees and trade organizations on behalf of Bouchard Transportation Co. Inc., reporting directly to Executive Vice President Michael S. Brady.

“Captain Glas is a true professional in our industry, and I am delighted that his expertise will continue contributing to our company’s success in his new role,” Brady said.

Glas has been with Bouchard Transportation for 22 years and most recently was the company’s director of compliance. His previous company experience includes 16 years in the fleet as a captain operating on the East and West coasts as well as the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean; he was also the fleet port captain for five years.
