(SAN FRANCISCO) — The Board of Pilot Commissioners will attempt to suspend or revoke the license of the San Francisco bar pilot involved in the Overseas Reymar casualty, The Examiner newspaper reported. The board heard evidence that the pilot lost situational awareness, became complacent, did not communicate well with the ship's crew and failed to make use of a second radar on the bridge. The 752-foot tanker struck a bridge tower in January.
