Antarctic ship loses engine; 30-foot wave knocks out bridge windows

(IN THE DRAKE PASSAGE) — An Antarctic cruise ship lost an engine and communications while sailing in severe weather conditions, CBS News reported. A 30-foot wave smashed windows on the bridge of the Clelia II while it sailed in the Drake Passage on a return to Argentina. Another ship was able to deliver a satellite phone to the crippled vessel, and Chile’s coastguard is on the way.
