All Coast wins Lloyd's List North American Safety Award

(LAFAYETTE, La.) — All Coast LLC has been named the winner of the Lloyd's List 2015 North American Safety Award. The recognition for "exceptional commitment to improving safety standards in the shipping industry" was presented to the All Coast team at the Lloyd's List awards ceremony on Feb. 18 in Houston.

"At All Coast, we have successfully created a culture centered around keeping our employees, customers and contractors safe while working aboard our fleet of lift boats. Our commitment to be the safest has resulted in over a million man hours without a recordable incident," said Byron Allemand, vice president/chief operating officer of All Coast. "As the recipient of the Lloyd's List Safety Award, we are sincerely honored to be recognized as a leader of safe operations in the North American maritime industry."

A panel of judges from the marine industry's leading governing bodies and trade associations chose All Coast as the winner based on safety innovation, investment in safety training, and proven reductions to accident rates. All Coast's proven commitment to incident-free operations includes buy-in from all levels in the business, which allowed All Coast to achieve an unrivaled safety culture within the first two years of the company's inception.

All Coast was recognized for its initiatives and dedication to reach standards of safety excellence in the year 2014. All Coast created and implemented a behavior-based safety program called ALL SAFE, as well as an intense effort on improving risk assessments. Participation in the program led All Coast to a total recordable incident rate of 0.00 and a 30 percent reduction in first aid cases. Other initiatives include a crane maintenance and inspection program to identify and repair potential deficiencies before they become hazardous and annual management system reviews where vessel captains suggest changes for improvement.

"We have committed to be leaders in the field and are relentless in our efforts to keep everyone aboard our vessels safe. It is our culture," said Allemand. "The All Coast employees have worked hard to earn this honor, and we are very proud."

The North American Maritime Award for Safety was presented by Lloyd's List, an international daily shipping newspaper, and was open to all North American maritime companies that demonstrated effective improvements to their operations at sea or on shore.

All Coast owns and operates the largest fleet of lift boats in the Gulf of Mexico, and serves the top players in the exploration and production of oil and gas. For more information on All Coast, visit www.allcoastllc.com.
