(GIGLIO PORTO, Italy) — Engineering officials said they have lifted the cruise ship Costa Concordia off the rocks in one of the largest parbuckling operations ever attempted, BBC News reported. More than 50 huge chains and winches are being used to roll the ship onto its keel for inspection and its eventual towing. The ship has been lying on a reef on the Tuscan coast since January 2012, when it ran aground and capsized. Thirty-two people died.
