Feds fund cleaner engine for New Hampshire cruise ship

(CENTER HARBOR, N.H.) — A Lake Winnipesaukee cruise ship has received a new, cleaner Caterpillar engine as a result of funding from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Union-Leader newspaper of Manchester reported. The new systems on the 230-foot M/S Mount Washington also include shaft brakes for the first time. Most of the money came from the EPA’s Clean Diesel Program.
