NOAA updates decades-old Great Lakes surveys

NOAA survey vessel Thomas Jefferson operates alongside a DriX uncrewed surface vessel during hydrographic survey work in 2022. NOAA will again deploy the autonomous mapping platform in the Great Lakes this year, helping update chart data in areas where survey information in some cases dates back to the 1940s.
