(DULUTH, Minn.) — The largest ship on the Great Lakes ran aground Saturday after it failed to negotiate a turn, the Duluth News Tribune reported. The 1,013-foot Paul R. Tregurtha, owned by the Interlake Steamship Co., was carrying a full load of coal when the incident occurred near the Aerial Lift Bridge, the Duluth Seaway Port Authority said. Two tugboats pulled the ship free later that day.
