(GROSSETO, Italy) (April 14) — The captain of Costa Concordia tried to persuade a cruise line official to say that an electrical blackout caused the ship to run aground, according to court testimony reported by Reuters. The cruise ship grounded and capsized on the Italian island of Giglio in January 2012, killing 32 people. The captain, Francesco Schettino, "suggested we say an (electrical) blackout had caused the collision. I said absolutely not," Roberto Ferrarini, the cruise company's crisis coordinator, told the court.
