World’s largest pipe-laying ship calls at Tampa

(TAMPA) — The world’s largest ship for laying pipe has spent the last two weeks at a Tampa shipyard, the Tampa Tribune reported. The 668-foot Deep Blue, which is used by the French oil service company Technip, is having work done at the Tampa Bay Shipbuilding & Repair Co. yard at Hooker’s Point. It’s the heaviest ship ever to visit the shipyard.
