Worker fatally injured on drillship in Gulf

(WASHINGTON) — Federal officials are investigating the death of a worker Tuesday morning on a drillship in the Gulf of Mexico, the San Antonio Express-News reported. The drillship Pacific Santa Ana was beginning operations for Chevron Corp. about 200 miles south of Lake Charles, La., when the worker, an employee of vessel owner Pacific Drilling, was fatally injured. Operations on the drillship have been shut down.
