(ISTANBUL) — Around the world, more and more women are working as officers aboard commercial ships, the Associated Press reported. Several females are masters or harbor pilots in regions ranging from Europe to Africa to the Americas. As many as 15 percent of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy cadets are women.
