(WASHINGTON) — A time-lapse video posted online by USNI News shows the guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) being loaded on the heavy-lift transport M/V Treasure on Saturday off the coast of Singapore. The ship will transport McCain to Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan for repairs. The destroyer collided with a chemical tanker on Aug. 21 near the Strait of Mallaca, resulting in the deaths of 10 Navy sailors.
