(OKINAWA, Japan) — USNS Sgt. Matej Kocak was refloated Tuesday two weeks after grounding on a reef six miles off the coast of Okinawa, Stars and Stripes reported. The Military Sealift Command ship was carrying 131 civilians and U.S. service members when it ran aground on Jan. 22. Workers on Monday offloaded the ship’s fuel, which lightened it enough for it to break free at high tide.
