US cruise ship arrives in Cuba, the first in 50 years

(HAVANA, Cuba) — Carnival Corp.’s Fathom Adonia arrived in Havana on Monday morning, re-establishing the U.S. cruise business in Cuba after more than 50 years without service, the Miami Herald reported. Adonia, carrying about 600 passengers, sounded its horn as it slowly glided into the harbor at about 0900 hours. The weeklong cruise will circumnavigate Cuba and will also stop in Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba.
