U.S.-operated cruise ship strikes rocks off Antarctica (PHOTO)

(NEW YORK) — The elegent expedition ship Clelia II struck rocks off Antarctica, USA Today reported on its Cruise Log blog. New York-based operator Travel Dynamics International has cancelled voyages for the next two weeks as a result. The 100-passenger vessel had a damaged starboard propeller and a power loss after a strong current pushed the ship into the rocks.
