U.S. oil rigs, inland barges suffer sharp price-related slowdown

(HOUSTON) — U.S. oil drilling fell for a fifth consecutive week, Oil & Gas Journal reported. Inland barges have begun stacking up as utilization rates have declined. Analysts said some of the inactivity may be holiday-related, but most of it is caused by plummeting commodity prices.
