(WASHINGTON) — U.S. officials say Somalia pirates may be linked to the funding of al Qaeda, CNN reported. Thus far, the U.S. has considered the spate of maritime piracy to be a criminal matter. If the terrorism connection is established, U.S. military forces may get involved.
