Two construction barges break free, run aground in BC

(VICTORIA, British Columbia) — Two construction barges broke loose while being towed in high winds Wednesday night and drifted ashore in Victoria's Inner Harbour, the Times Colonist reported. One barge carrying a crane struck rocks; the other barge hit a beach. The barges were being moved from the Coho ferry terminal construction site when the incident occurred.
