(BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif.) — A tour boat with 20 passengers ran aground after getting lost in fog on Big Bear Lake, the Big Bear Grizzly newspaper reported. Municipal Water District officials said the Miss Liberty never should have gotten underway in the fog. The licensed captain of the Miss Liberty reported that he already had decided to end the cruise because of the poor visibility, but he got lost and ventured into shallow water off a point. The vessel’s propellers were damaged.
