Tour boat evacuated after grounding off BC

(TOFINO, British Columbia) — The occupants of a tour boat were evacuated Saturday afternoon after the vessel ran aground near Tofino, Global News reported. Jamie’s Whaling Station, the owner of the 40-foot Stellar Sea, said the boat was traveling at slow speed in Clayoquot Sound when the incident occurred. No injuries were reported among the 26 passengers and two crewmembers. Another boat operated by Jamie's sank near Tofino last year, claiming six lives.
