(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.) — The widow of the third mate aboard the sunken El Faro containership has filed a lawsuit against TOTE Maritime, the second legal action taken after the incident, the Florida Times-Union reported. Tina Riehm, Jeremie Riehm’s widow, said in the suit that the ship’s owner shouldn’t have sent it into a storm — which developed into Hurricane Joaquin — and that TOTE should have to pay for the decision. The amount of damages being sought has not been determined.
