Shipwrecks and abandoned vessels are causing problems for the environment, Time magazine reported. Washington state’s vessel removal program has led to a crackdown there. The National Resource Council has issued a report, funded by the Coast Guard, recommending that amount of U.S. marine debris be reduced to zero.
