Time magazine: Global warming opens Northeast Passage for ships

(BREMEN, Germany) — Beluga Shipping says a pair of its vessels, Beluga Fraternity and Beluga Foresight, have successfully sailed through the Northeast Passage, Time magazine reported. Global warming has opened the Northeast Passage to commercial navigation for the first time, but experts say they don’t expect very many similar voyages because conditions in the Arctic remain difficult.
