(THOROLD, Ontario) — A strike could shut the entire St. Lawrence System as early as Tuesday, the Web site NiagaraThisWeek.com reported. The union continues to disagree on the implementation of new automated technology such as hands-free mooring systems. Management says the inland seaway needs the new systems and more flexible work rules to remain competitive.
