(PHILADELPHIA) — The historic liner SS United States may be sold for scrap soon, USA Today reported. The SS United States Conservancy says vessel owner NCL Corp. has set a deadline for later this month for buyers to submit their bids. While NCL says it seeks a “suitable buyer,” the conservancy says the ship is “in imminent danger.”
