Silver Ships delivers fire rescue boat to Cape Coral

(MOBILE, Ala.) — Silver Ships has delivered a custom fire rescue boat to Florida’s Cape Coral Fire Department, with a second boat on contract.

The vessel delivered is the Freedom 30 fireboat and part of Silver Ships’ Freedom series. Vessels in the series feature a reliable hull design and all-welded aluminum. These vessels are typically used for law enforcement and are designed with the needs of the officer and service in mind.

This vessel was custom designed for the Cape Coral Fire Department as a multi-mission vessel to quickly respond to fire emergencies on the water. Along with fire rescue, the vessel is built for dive response and emergency patient transport.

The boat is 30 feet long, with a 9-foot-11-inch beam and twin Suzuki outboards. It features a Darley HE64 Hercules fire pump and a Task Force Tips fire monitor, as well as emergency lighting and sirens.

“The Freedom 30 fireboat is customized specifically to meet the Cape Coral Fire Department’s needs, and we are honored to continue to design and build vessels to support their missions,” said David Hunt, Silver Ships business development and fire rescue boat specialist. “Our team is excited to see how this vessel makes a difference in the Cape Coral community.”

The Freedom 30 fireboat made its debut in Cape Coral in February.
