(PORTSMOUTH, N.H.) — The owners of a tanker that struck a bridge between Maine and New Hampshire will enter into mediation with the states over a lawsuit involving $2.4 million in damage to the span, Seacoastonline.com reported. The states argue that Harbour Feature's crew failed to properly secure the vessel, which broke from a pier and hit the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge on April 1. The owners blame the local port authority and a tugboat pilot who stipulated the number of mooring lines to be used.
