Ship grounds, gets wedged sideways, blocks St. Lawrence Seaway

(MONTREAL) — A freighter ran aground and completely blocked the St. Lawrence Seaway at Montreal, Postmedia News and canada.com reported. The BBC Steinhoeft got sideways and ended up perpendicular to the channel, wedged on both bow and stern. Several vessels were delayed until tugboats freed the ship, which was carrying a load of mechanical parts from Toronto to Philadelphia.
