San Francisco duck boat catches fire; Coast Guard rescues 28

The following is the text of a press release issued by the U.S. Coast Guard:
 
(SAN FRANCISCO) — A Coast Guard 41-foot Utility Boat crew from Station San Francisco rescued 28 people from a duck boat that had caught fire in McCovey Cove Saturday.
 
Coast Guard watchstanders at Sector San Francisco received a call over VHF-FM channel 16 at 4:06 p.m. that there was an engine fire onboard the duck boat.
The Coast Guard crew arrived on scene at 4:18 p.m. and removed the 28 people from the duck boat and safely transported them to South Beach Marina.
The San Francisco Fire Department Fire Boat Phoenix crew responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
All 28 people donned life jackets and there were no reports of injuries or pollution.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
