(BREMERTON, Wash.) — SAFE Boats International has named Paul Ouellette as business development director, U.S. East. Ouellette is a recently retired major for the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). Born and raised in southeast Florida, he earned his bachelor of science degree in environmental biology from Fort Lewis College in Colorado. Commencing work as a state law enforcement officer with FWC, he rose through the ranks to become Florida’s boating law administrator, chief of FWC’s Boating and Waterways Section and regional commander of Florida’s Northeast Region. Besides overseeing public safety and the observance of laws on land and sea, Ouellette also earned high praise as the FWC’s field incident commander for the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
“Paul’s 30 years of marine law enforcement experience coupled with his deep understanding of the product needs of our first responder and law enforcement professionals presents a powerful combination for our trusted brand," said Bob Convey, vice president of business development. “We welcome him aboard.”
