Rolls-Royce to eliminate 600 jobs in marine unit

(LONDON) — Rolls-Royce will cut 600 jobs in its Norwegian-focused marine business in response to lower global oil prices, Reuters UK reported. Employing 6,000 people, the unit builds propulsion systems, winches and anchors for ships. Half of the job cuts would be in Norway, with the other half at the company's other global locations.
