(HOUMA, La.) — The owner of a Louisiana tugboat company has been accused of violating federal law that governs political campaign contributions, the Tri-Parish Times newspaper reported. Arlen "Benny" Cenac faces the accusation in court papers filed by U.S. prosecutors working in conjunction with the Federal Election Commission. Cenac, who is president of Cenac Towing, is accused of contributions to the state's two U.S. senators that exceed legal limit and attempting to conceal them by making it seem like the checks were made out by different people.
