Port of Seattle rejects calls to bar Arctic drilling rigs

(SEATTLE) — Commissioners on Tuesday upheld their decision to let Arctic oil drilling rigs dock at the Port of Seattle, KUOW.org reported. Environmental activists have been protesting the port's agreement to let Shell Oil keep Noble Discoverer and Polar Pioneer, both intended for use in the Arctic Ocean, in West Seattle. The rigs are en route to the port from Asia.
