Parasailing operators must pay attention to weather, towline

The U.S. Coast Guard has issued a Safety Alert as a result of numerous fatalities in the parasailing industry. A common occurrence is failure of the towline. The Safety Alert urges operators to monitor weather conditions and to properly maintain winches, towlines and other onboard equipment.
