Ore. ferry operator arrested for being drunk on the job

(SALEM, Ore. — The operator of a Willamette River ferry was arrested for operating under the influence, the Statesman Journal newspaper reported. The alcohol use was noticed when he attempted to collect a Wheatland Ferry fare twice from a person who already paid. Officials said he admitted to drinking before going to work and he had alcohol in his lunchbox.
