Oil spill response barge breaks loose in Alaska

(ILIULIUK BAY, Alaska) — An oil spill response barge anchored offshore for the past several months came off its mooring Saturday in rough seas and drifted onto a beach, Alaska Public Media reported. The 200-foot-long Resolve Ibis, operated by Resolve Magone Marine Services, was towed off the beach Saturday evening. There were no reports of damage or pollution.
