Offshore wind plan gets boost from Michigan officials (VIDEO)

(ESCANABA, Mich.) — The Michigan Offshore Wind Council has presented findings indicating that several areas off Michigan would be suitable for offshore wind farms, television station WLUC reported. The windmills would be located about six miles offshore. The council was formed last year by the governor’s office. At least one maritime company expressed support for the idea.
