NTSB to lead Seastreak crash probe, sends team to NYC

The following is an announcement from the National Transportation Safety Board:

(WASHINGTON) – The National Transportation Safety Board is launching a go-team to investigate the ferry accident in New York City that occurred Wednesday Morning. The NTSB will be the lead investigative agency in this accident.

NTSB marine safety investigator Morgan Turrell is leading a team of 12 as the investigator-in-charge.

NTSB Board Member Robert L. Sumwalt is accompanying the team and will serve as the principal spokesman during the on-scene phase of the investigation.
