(WASHINGTON) — The National Transportation Safety Board released a video today on parasailing safety. The video shows the consumer what to look for when choosing a parasailing operator, and provides tips for inspecting equipment.
Each year, an estimated 3 million to 5 million people in the United States enjoy the thrill offered by this unique sport. But when a parasailing adventure becomes a parasailing accident, the result can be serious injury or death.
Last year, the board issued a special investigation report on parasailing and a safety alert for parasailing operators.
